The Doors of Oerth
“I gave myself to the Mountain”
Corrum is living on the side of the Ringing Mountain with his two sons, Jeremy and Bellemy. After watching people come from Haven Hill in search of buried treasure, long lost loved ones and all manner of impossible, undeliverable things only to vanish without a trace he has dedicated his life to dissuading people from making the journey up the side of the Mountain but knows that he cannot stop them, ultimately it is their choice to make.
Corrum, through an ancient and secret Druidic ritual where he dedicated his soul and literally gives himself to the land he has turned himself into a form of lich. Because of his connection to the natural world and his continued dedication to it his body is spared the worst of decay and because of the cold it is slowed even more. Even though Corrum has been dead for several years now he still appears to be very much alive. In fact during the spring and summer months he truly is for a short while and he heals naturally, during the autumn and winter months his body begins a slow death and begins to slightly decay.
